May 31, 2007 Purdue students honored for residential life leadershipWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Two Purdue students were recently honored for outstanding contributions to their residence hall.Chris Bovard, of Vevay, Ind., was named First Year Student of the Month for January in Tarkington Hall. Michael Ross, a senior from Evansville studying mechanical engineering, was named Tarkington Hall's Student of the Month for January Each student was nominated by his resident assistant for the awards sponsored by the National Residence Hall Honorary. "The community leadership that Chris and Michael exhibit on a regular basis is exactly the type of life skill that Purdue University Residences fosters to prepare students for success in their academic and professional lives," said Sheryl Hodson, residential life manager at Tarkington Hall.
