More, longer trucks to be making construction deliveries

Steel deliveries to the construction site for the Roger B. Gatewood Wing of the Mechanical Engineering Building are expected to start next week (Oct. 12), increasing the need for caution along the delivery route.

This will involve longer semi-trailer trucks, two arriving each morning and two each afternoon. This will be in addition to the ongoing cement truck and occasional dump truck traffic.

The construction traffic route to the site is from State Street through Centennial Mall. Concrete barriers have been placed to divide the traffic route from the pedestrian route. Pedestrians are asked to use the west side of the mall (near Stanley Coulter Hall).
