Gathering of data scientists to discuss ‘What IF
Partnerships led to the Data Revolution?’

How can we capture the full potential of data science? What actions can be taken to make use of data science in sector-based domains? These questions and more will be addressed at the Data Science Partnership Summit, which will take place Nov. 12 at Ross-Ade Pavilion’s Shively Club. The summit is free and open to the public, but registration is required by Monday (Nov. 4) and can be completed online.

Water Sculpture

Photo gallery: 30th anniversary of the Class of 1939 Water Sculpture

Located in front of Hovde Hall in the heart of campus, the Class of 1939 Water Sculpture was built and dedicated in 1989 after the Class of 1939 gave a gift to commemorate its 50th anniversary. Indiana sculptor Robert Youngman initially sketched the design on a napkin while having coffee at the Purdue Memorial Union with the head of the Department of Creative Arts. The College of Engineering shares photos from the fountain's past and present in its latest photo gallery.

Much has been made about the youth of the 2019 Purdue football team. The Boilermakers have played 30 true or redshirt freshmen this season. That total includes 13 first-year players who have started.
