Staff and faculty invited to help plan events to honor Vietnam veterans

Faculty and staff are invited to participate on a committee that will plan commemorative events to honor Vietnam veterans in the Purdue and surrounding communities. The events are tentatively planned for spring or summer of 2018 to align with the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

As a teenager in Sweden, Jan-Anders Mansson quit school to become a toolmaker, working in his parents' manufacturing company, but his interests and questions led him back to education. Now, several decades later, he is in his second year at Purdue researching composites as part of the College of Engineering's Advanced Composites Manufacturing preeminent team.
