From the Archives series launches today

In our new From the Archives series, Purdue Today will share a glimpse of Purdue's past through photographs from Purdue Libraries Archives and Special Collections. On alternating Mondays during the academic year, this feature will give readers a chance to answer what's taking place in the image. The full story will be revealed in the following Friday's issue.

To start the series, here is a moment in Purdue history related to another beginning. What is happening, and, for an extra challenge, who is this person? Visit the Purdue Libraries blog for a closer look and to share theories in the comments section.
