Purdue Northwest chosen as name for unified regional campus

The Purdue Board of Trustees today (July 18) approved Purdue University Northwest -- to be commonly referred to as Purdue Northwest (PNW) -- as the name of the unified Calumet and North Central campuses.

Trustees approve Purdue's state funding request

Purdue trustees today (July 18) approved the 2015-17 legislative request for line items, which, among other items, includes funding for two new initiatives that support the University's Purdue Moves.

Trustees name student excellence and leadership center, approve academic and residential facilities improvements

Purdue's Board of Trustees today (July 18) approved naming the new student excellence and leadership center for the board's former chairman and Purdue alumnus Keith Krach. The board also took a series of actions related to Purdue Moves, including approving construction of an agronomy research laboratory, renovation of an engineering building and proceeding with planning for the new home of the Honors College.

Trustees approve 3 master's degree programs, Division of Military Science and Technology, psychological sciences program

The Board of Trustees today (July 18) approved a Master of Science degree in engineering technology in the College of Technology at the West Lafayette campus and Master of Science degrees in electrical and computer engineering and mechanical engineering at Purdue University Calumet. Trustees also approved creating a Division of Military Science and Technology, which will serve as the academic and administrative home for ROTC programs, a cooperative education program for the Department of Psychological Sciences, and changing the name of the Department of History and Political Science at Purdue Calumet.

recognize donors

The Board of Trustees today (July 18) ratified the appointment of three distinguished professors, approved the previously announced reorganization of the offices of Research and Global Affairs, and approved a resolution of appreciation for those who have donated $1 million or more to Purdue.
