As campus winds down from the academic semester, Purdue's Conference Division prepares to bring more than 100 groups to campus over the summer. Year-round, 75 percent of conferences are returning customers, including the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association's Home and Family Conference, which on June 12-14 will be in its 100th year as a Purdue conference.
Faculty and staff news
Purdue is conducting a campus-wide survey to gain a better understanding of Web conferencing practices and needs of faculty and staff. Information gathered from the survey will be used to inform a new campus strategy on video conferencing resources. The short survey is here.
Beginning Monday (April 29), the majority of faculty, staff and students will be able to purchase new parking permits online through the Parking Facilities website. This online option also will be used for parking permit renewals this summer. Individuals with exceptions or special needs may continue to purchase permits at the Parking Facilities office.
New features, along with an improved content editor and expanded assessment analytics, and what should be a better user experience are coming to the Blackboard course management system at Purdue as part of a scheduled upgrade of Blackboard Learn.
The Purdue Postdoctoral Association is inviting all at Purdue to its annual dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 16. Reservations are needed by May 9.
The Purdue Today staff is seeking nominations for the monthly Momentum Makers series, which highlights Purdue employees whose job performances are exemplary.
