Purdue Ag scientists work for the good of people – and animals

The public's increasing desire to know where their food comes from, how it is produced and whether it is safe certainly has grabbed Purdue Agriculture's attention. Faculty are involved in a variety of research and other work to help society improve the human diet, balancing efficient and sustainable production of high-quality animal products with proper treatment of animals. Analytical theory may bring improvements to lithium-ion batteries

Researchers have shown theoretically how to control or eliminate the formation of 'dendrites' that cause lithium-ion batteries to fail, an advance that if realized would improve safety and might enable the batteries to be charged within a matter of minutes instead of hours.
