Faculty and staff have the opportunity to try a new sport or rekindle an old hobby while meeting students and making new friends through Purdue's Club Sports Program. Thirty club sports are available through the program, ranging from classic sports, such as volleyball, soccer and running, to activities like sailing, fencing, karate and trap and skeet.

The new Center for Healthy Living will open Wednesday (Feb. 27) in the Purdue West Shopping Center, 1400 W. State St. The center will serve benefits-eligible employees and their dependents covered on the Purdue Choice Fund, Purdue Incentive or Purdue Copay medical plans.
Purdue faculty, staff and families are invited to tour the new Center for Healthy Living and meet the center's staff during open house hours Tuesday (Feb. 26) and Wednesday (Feb. 27).
Purdue instructors and teaching assistants can learn about best practices, scholarship of teaching and learning, and resources to address the growing international student population at Purdue in seminars offered by the Center for Instructional Excellence.

A device for non-invasive diabetic testing and a biological imaging technique for personalized cancer care won top prizes Tuesday (Feb. 19) at the $100,000 Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition in Purdue's Discovery Park.
Staff members with interest in a Krannert master's degree are invited to join students Wednesday (Feb. 27) at the Krannert MBA and Master's Fair, themed "Get on Track to a Career in Business."
Purdue officials announced Tuesday (Feb. 19) that two fraternities have been placed on probation for alcohol-related offenses.

A team led by a Purdue researcher engaged local volunteers to overcome the stigma and social barriers faced by women in sub-Saharan Africa that prevent early screening for breast cancer and lead to unnecessary deaths.
