Interior Design professors

Better living by design

Television shows and magazines suggest that the field of interior design is composed of decorating projects, but in reality, this narrow focus doesn't begin to explore the research that guides the work of interior designers. Three new faculty members in the interior design program of the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts challenge this perception as they focus on improving interior environments. Read about their work in the College of Liberal Arts' winter online issue of THiNK Magazine.

View construction progress at Center for Healthy Living website

Construction is on schedule at the future site of the Center for Healthy Living. The project of turning a former grocery store into an employee health center is documented in a photo gallery on the center's website at www.purdue.edu/healthyliving. More photos will be added as work continues.

The process "Identifying Prohibited Vendors" posted on the Business @ Purdue website details the steps Procurement Services will take to notify faculty and staff which vendors are prohibited.

Presidential reception

Reception for Daniels
caps week of welcomes

A large crowd offered a warm reception to new President Mitch Daniels on a cold Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 22), gathering in the Ballrooms of Purdue Memorial Union. Many at Purdue already had spoken with Daniels during his pre-term visits and in his first week at the University.

Purdue professor to appear on 'Jeopardy!'

Susie Swithers, professor of psychological sciences, is scheduled to appear on 'Jeopardy!' at 7:30 p.m. today (Jan. 23) on WLFI in Lafayette and WTHR in Indianapolis.

HHS Study Abroad Fair set for today

The College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) is hosting a Study Abroad Fair from 3 to 6 p.m. today (Jan. 23) in the Marriott Hall Atrium. The fair features study abroad programs offered by HHS in 2013, including those in China, Germany, Zambia, Colombia, Scotland, Costa Rica, Australia and Italy.
