Game Starters: Kim Yoder

Before the team takes the field and the referee calls for kickoff, Purdue staff members play their part in making football games successful. Each Friday before a home game, as Ross-Ade Stadium waits to come alive with cheering Boilermakers, a staff member who is integral to game day will be featured in Purdue Today's Game Starters series. This week's Game Starter is Kim Yoder, event planner in the Office of Special Events.

* The Boiler Bridge Walk will start at 5:40 p.m. today (Oct. 12) at the fountain on the West Lafayette side of the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge.

* The Boilermaker Night Train Parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. today at Northwestern Avenue and Columbia Street. A pep rally (approximately 8:45 p.m.) and Purdue basketball's Tip-Off Before the Kickoff (approximately 9:15 p.m.) will follow in Mackey Arena. Details are here.

* Homecoming on the Mall will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 13) at Stadium Mall. A schedule of stage performances is here.

* Purdue Bands & Orchestras will present its Homecoming Game Day Concert about 10:40 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 13) on Stadium Mall as part of Homecoming festivities.

* The Purdue football team takes on Wisconsin at noon Saturday. Ticket information is at www.purduesports.com.

Alcohol and drug document to be distributed to all employees

Faculty and staff will receive an email Monday (Oct. 15) containing a link to a document with the University's comprehensive Alcohol- and Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy and related information.

Trask Innovation Fund officials set Oct. 31 application deadline

Purdue researchers in all disciplines who seek funding to develop their discoveries can submit proposals through Oct. 31 to receive up to $50,000 for a six-month period from a Purdue Research Foundation-managed fund.

Registration deadline extended for upcoming PEAP trip

The Purdue Employees Activity Program, a subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee, has extended the registration deadline for the Oct. 20 bus trip to the Mansfield Covered Bridge Festival.

Single-game tickets for the 2012-13 Purdue men's basketball season, as well as tickets for the second annual Crossroads Classic, go on sale to the general public on Monday through the Athletic Ticket Office.

Mobile ticketing available starting at Saturday football game

Fans will be able to use mobile ticketing at Purdue home football games beginning Saturday, when the Boilermakers play host to Wisconsin at Ross-Ade Stadium.
