Health-driven center looks
at controls of feeding
The old saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" originated a couple centuries ago when food options were simpler. Today's consumers have almost unlimited choices; that same apple today may come pre-sliced, pureed, or juiced. What sounds more appetizing, the crunch of a fresh apple or a warm glass of apple cider? How does the form of the food alter its nutritional value, and if a person has a preference, what difference would it make?

Fourth of July celebration to be held in downtown Lafayette
The local Stars & Stripes Celebration will be July 4 at Riehle Plaza, Second and Main streets in downtown Lafayette, and on the adjacent John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge and in Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette if weather conditions allow. Music by Lafayette Citizens Band at Riehle Plaza will start at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at dusk (about 10 p.m.).
Purdue Today schedule change
Purdue Today will reduce its publishing schedule during the week of the July Fourth holiday. It will be published today (July 2) and then will resume publishing twice each week beginning July 9.
