Purdue Archives
comes of age
Many of the answers for Purdue will be found in its Virginia Kelly Karnes Archives and Special Collections Research Center. Pulling together collections from eight locations, the Karnes center is now just three years old and housed on the fourth floor of the Humanities, Social Science, and Education Library in Stewart Center. Part of Purdue Libraries, the center also has created a searchable archive without walls on the Web. The goal is to not only preserve the past but also make it more accessible to visitors and scholars. Purdue Alumnus magazine highlights the Archives and Special Collections and its home in its March/April issue.

A search is under way for the next director of the Center for the Environment (C4E) in Discovery Park with an intended start date for the new director in summer 2012.
