University Residences students to help rebuild Katrina-damaged homes

University Residences is sending 60 residents and staff members to Louisiana during spring break to help rebuild hurricane-damaged homes.

Two busloads of volunteers will leave from Shreve Hall about  7:30 p.m.  Friday (March 7).  Teams will be sent for one week to two locations on the bayous south of New Orleans, Houma, La., and Dulac, La. More

2008 Purdue Research Park Job Fair to feature variety of high-tech jobs

Job candidates can choose from more than 100 available full-time positions, including those of director of quality assurance, senior design engineer and systems administrator, at today's 2008 Purdue Research Park High-Tech Job Fair.

"The goal of the job fair is to successfully match the talents of qualified job seekers with the high-tech opportunities of Purdue Research Park's companies," said Joseph Hornett, senior vice president, treasurer and COO of the Purdue Research Foundation, the organization that administers the research park and sponsors the job fair. More

Education grad students to present symposium on Wednesday

Literary Reading Series to feature fiction writer

Peter Ho Davies

The Purdue Literary Reading Series will present a reading and talk by fiction writer Peter Ho Davies on March 19. Davies will talk about fiction at 4 p.m. in the Hicks Undergraduate Library Bookstall, and his reading is at 7:30 p.m. in Room 140 (auditorium), Krannert Building. Both events, which are free and open to the public, are sponsored by the Department of English and the Creative Writing program. More
