A faculty member faces a theft charge for allegedly stealing a stationary bicycle from the university. Purdue police on Thursday (Aug. 23) arrested Robert Mahorney, 50, of Chicago after a Monark brand stationary bicycle, worth approximately $1,100, was found in his office-studio space in Lambert Fieldhouse. Student arrested on child pornography-related charge

Police arrested a Purdue student Friday (Aug. 24) on suspicion of using the university's computer network to download child pornography. The arrest was part of an ongoing investigation with the Indiana State Police that also resulted in the arrest of a Purdue student on Thursday (Aug. 23). More

First session of President's Leadership Class to meet

France A. Córdova
Purdue President France A. Córdova will continue the tradition of overseeing the President's Leadership Class, which will begin Monday evening (Aug. 27) at Discovery Park.

Córdova will address the class at 6 p.m. in the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, Room 129. Alan Rebar, executive director of Discovery Park, also will speak before a tour of the park's research facilities. More

— Kenneth J. Musselman, strategic collaboration director for the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering in Discovery Park, has been elected president-elect and chief financial officer of the Institute of Industrial Engineers. More
