Autonomous Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle DUIRI - Discovery Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Internship Spring 2024 Accepted Computer Engineering, Autonomous Control, Artificial Intelligence Recent international events show that uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) play crucial roles in global security and national defense. This project will create an autnomous UAV that can navigate a three-dimensional maze and find the exit. The project will design the control algorithms and implement the algorithms in software. The project focues on software and uses commodity hardware. A maze is being contructed at Purdue's UAV Research and Testing Facility (at Purdue Airport). Yung-hsiang Lu Design computer algorithms, develop software that collect data from an UAV's sensors, process the sensor data, make control decisions. https://ri4rover.org/ Fluent in computer programming (will need to pass a test by the principal investigator) 2 20 (estimated)
