Project Examining health disparities among vulnerable youth and families Program Health & Human Sciences Term Academic Year 2023 Status Accepted Research Area Community-based Health Disparities Research Description The Ruiz Lab is looking for interested undergraduate research assistants to carry out research in the area of health disparities with a focus on vulnerable youth and families. Students will engage in community-based research in order to better understand how individual, social, and environmental factors impact the health of youth. Supervisor Yumary Ruiz Mentor Yumary Ruiz Type of work required Students will be expected to read relevant literature and conduct literature reviews, recruit/consent study participants, collect/transcribe/enter data, prepare research reports/presentations/articles, participate in research team meetings, and collaborate with undergraduate, graduate and faculty members.
