Dietary patterns and Clinical Features in Individuals with Angelman Syndrome First Year Investigators Undergraduate Research Program 12-Month 2023 Closed Nutrition/ Psychology Individuals with Angelman syndrome (AS) often present with feeding difficulties and gastrointestinal symptoms. However, there is limited research on the diet of children with AS and how these relate to clinical features. We have collected dietary intake data and several clinical measures on children and adults with AS, including challenging behaviors, GI symptoms, and sensory sensitivities among others. The research assistant will help analyze the data for possible associations between diet quality and clinical presentations. There is a possibility of analyzing gut microbiome data as well. Information from this study will be the first step toward personalized treatment strategies for individuals with AS. Anita Aalia Panjwani Statistical analysis and interpretation using SPSS or Stata.
