Project LLM Based Intelligent Injury Surveillance System Program DUIRI - Discovery Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Internship Term Fall 2026 Status Accepted Research Area Safety, Applied Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing Description This project aims to develop a Large Language Model based Injury Surveillance System to analyze injury reports collected from hospitals and other self-reported consumer product related injuries. Supervisor Gaurav Nanda Mentor Mustak Ahmad Type of work required The nature of work would involve programming, building a system with LLM in backend and a web-based front end. The student will also work on data analysis, conducting data experiments with different types of data, reporting the experiment results, and writing the manuscript for journal and conference publications.
