Effective recruitment for engineering programs (Honors) John Martinson Honors College Academic Year 2025 Saved engineering education, STEM education, communication studies, mixed methods This project uses mixed-method research design to investigate the effectiveness of different recruitment strategies for engineering bridge/pathway programs based on the framework of diffusion of innovations and relationship recruiting. The research findings will not only help the engineering college but other programs to recruit more effectively. Survey and interview data were collected. More in-depth literature review, data analysis, and professional communication (paper publication and conference presentations) are needed for the project. The research course to register could be the EEE 49800 (https://engineering.purdue.edu/EEE/Academics/CurrentStudents/UndergraduateResearchEEE) or a research/project/capstone course from your discipline or Honors college.
