3D Scan Bone Fragments for AI Bone Identification Liberal Arts Academic Year 2025 Closed Anthropology and ECE Students will generate 3-D scans of fragmented animal bones for a DOD grant proposal about using AI for human non-human bone identification. Students will learn skills related to forensic anthropology and 3-D scanning technology. Melanie M. Beasley Students will photograph, weigh and measure bone fragments prior to 3-D scanning the bones. Students will be responsible for correctly cataloging the data generated from the scans (labeling scan files following established protocol). Background in Anthropology or ECE (have taken classes in either discipline). 0 5 (estimated)
