Project Data Stewardship Undergraduate Researcher Program Libraries Term Academic Year 2025 Status Accepted Research Area Data Stewardship; AI; Case studies Description This project sponsors a Data Stewardship Award in Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Purdue Undergraduate Research Conference. It is part of a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded initiative aimed at prioritizing ethical data lifecycle management education for undergraduate researchers. The broader project aims to develop a framework and curricula that guide students through “data lifecycle ethical management” and prepare them to become both competent and responsible consumers and producers of data. Undergraduate researchers will have the opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary team, gain hands-on experience with ethical data management practices, and support efforts that shape future undergraduate research education. • Conduct literature reviews
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings
