Experimental Multiphase Flows Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Research Program Summer 2025 Closed thermodynamics, fluid mechanics Join a research group focused on experimental measurements of multiphase flows. Several projects are available that quantify the behavior of liquid sprays and solid particles in gas environments. Work considers both non-reacting and reacting materials and ranges from moderate speed flows to the extreme high-speed flows in detonations. Daniel Robert Guildenbecher Daniel Robert Guildenbecher Your role will be to collaborate with graduate students who are developing new facilities, diagnostics, and physical insights. The graduate student will serve as your primary mentor. Your tasks will be determined based on overlapping interests, skills, and project needs. Task could include designing new experimental rigs, setting up high-speed cameras and lasers, acquiring data, and/or developing novel data processing methods. https://engineering.purdue.edu/GuildenbecherLab GPA > 3.5 with a strong interest in graduate school 0 10 (estimated)
