Purdue launches Next Moves initiatives

Purdue University has launched Purdue’s Next Moves – five new distinct strategic initiatives designed to advance the university’s competitive advantage in its continuing quest for leadership among world’s top research and teaching institutions.

U.S. News rankings: Purdue graduate engineering No. 4, Agricultural and Biological Engineering now perched atop graduate and undergraduate lists

U.S. News & World Report has released its annual rankings of Best Graduate Schools, and Purdue’s College of Engineering moved up three spots – from No. 7 to No. 4. The Agricultural and Biological Engineering graduate program also continues to soar.

INNOVATION: Purdue to launch Indiana Digital Crossroads with $10 million grant from Lilly Endowment

Thanks to a $10 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., Purdue will launch the Indiana Digital Crossroads, an initiative that will take the Data Mine concept beyond the West Lafayette campus – creating regional data hubs and start geographically based programs designed to engage businesses and undergraduate students.

TRANSFORMATIVE EDUCATION: Partnership with Purdue Global to benefit members of Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association

ECONOMIC IMPACT: Wabash National set to open collaboration space in Purdue’s Discovery Park District

Wabash National Corp., an innovation leader of engineered solutions for the transportation, logistics and distribution industries, is expanding its Greater Lafayette presence with a 2,000-square-foot space in the Convergence Center for Innovation and Collaboration at Purdue.

Dr. Shelby Steele, the Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, author, documentary filmmaker and columnist, will be the featured speaker for the virtual finale of the “Pursuing Racial Justice Together” learning series hosted by Purdue's Division of Diversity and Inclusion.
