Blue Sucker

Missouri sucker, razorback, slenderheaded sucker, gourdseed sucker, blackhorse, bluefish, sweet sucker, suckerel, “muskellunge” in the lower Wabash River in Indiana


Scientific Name:

Cycleptus elongates



Average length is 24 inches



Body long with pointed snout and papillae on lips. Caudal fin deeply forked. Back is blue to blue-black with whitish belly. Fins dusky to black.
