Quarantine Resources

In order to help better support congregate living units in quarantine, below is a list of resources to help members navigate their quarantine experience.

Logistics / Education

  • Review and implement congregate living best practices if a community has not done so.
  • Review the PPHC’s COVID Positive Response for Congregate Living flowchart.
  • Understand and learn more about the Protect Purdue Health Center Process.
  • Learn more about what quarantine entails.
  • Figure out quarantine for members.
Members of a congregate living community can choose to quarantine in the congregate living facility or return to their permanent home to quarantine. Please note that if a member chooses to quarantine at home, they cannot return to the community until the community is cleared from quarantine.
    • If members return from quarantine at home and cannot return to the congregate living community, there are temporary stay resources available.
      • University Residences is $59 per night
      • Union Club Hotel has a student rate of $79 per night
  • Have a plan for quarantine or partial quarantine bathroom procedures. Members in quarantine cannot share bathrooms with those not in quarantine.
  • Review the Protect Purdue Glossary to terms to help gain understanding during COVID related conversations and processes.

Well-Being

  • Student Support Services within the Dean of Students is a great resource to help provide assistance and support for students. They can be accessed remotely at 765-494-1747 or at odos@purdue.edu.
  • Your well-being is very important during quarantine. While it’s critically important to stay socially distanced and wear a mask, it is recommended to go for a walk or exercise during your quarantine. Other resources exist to help track your well-being as well:
    • CAPS staff provides remote telehealth services. Visit purdue.edu/caps for more information on how to set up an appointment.
    • Regularly connect virtually with friends and family.
    • All students on WL campus have access to WellTrack, an interactive self-help therapy app. WellTrack has multiple online tools from ways to track your mood to self-help resources. Login requires BoilerKey.
  • Stay up-to-date with well-being tips from the Steps to Leaps Research Collaborative. A new tip is featured each week! Check out this week's tip here.
  • There are so many ways to stay involved! Check out all of the virtual events on BoilerLink and join in the fun! Also, be sure to download the Corq app to RSVP and check into your event!
