It’s a great time to be a Boilermaker, and we have so much for which to be “Ever Grateful.” This newsletter celebrates the ongoing generosity of Purdue people who make great things possible.
Purdue continues to build on the successes of last year’s sesquicentennial celebration and the conclusion of the “Ever True” fundraising campaign without missing a beat. And the beat goes on in a big way with the announcement in February of the new home for Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Construction on Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall is expected to start in September and finish by December 2021. Purdue Bands & Orchestras anticipate having occupancy as early as March 2022. An additional $10M fundraising campaign from private donors is now underway. To learn more, visit giving.purdue.edu/bands.
In the meantime, see our exclusive special feature on a heartfelt gift for the new band building from Kay Birck, the wife of former trustee Michael Birck, in this edition.
As a complement to our story on Purdue’s latest announcement about the cost of higher education, check out this article from The Atlantic, “The College President Who Simply Won’t Raise Tuition.”
In the “Ever Grateful” Boilermaker spirit, thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the University we love.
Together, we make the next giant leap possible.
Boiler Up! Hail Purdue!
