Accommodations

Book early! Rooms may disappear soon because the conference weekend coincides with a home football game.
(The football schedule was changed after we made arrangements to have the conference this weekend.)

Lodging

Please note that the Purdue Homecoming Football game was moved to the weekend that the Swinburne Conference takes place. We were too far into the planning process to be able to move dates and space. Booking your hotel room in advance is highly recommended.

A block of rooms has been held for your conference at the full-service Union Club Hotel, conveniently located in the Purdue Memorial Union adjacent to Stewart Center. For information or to make a reservation call (800) 320-6291 or (765) 494-8913, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mention the Swinburne conference and date so you get put in the block. Room rates are $125 + tax for a deluxe room and $99 + tax for a standard room for September 25. For the nights of September 26 and 27, the room rate goes up due to Homecoming football game. The rates are $187 + tax for a deluxe room and $157 + tax for a standard room. Group rates are not available via the hotel website. You need to call the hotel. The block of rooms will be released by August 25, 2014. This hotel is closest to the conference and the only one within walking distance.

There are also blocks of rooms reserved at following hotels:

• The Marriott Towne Place located at 163 Frontage Road in Lafayette, IN. Call 765-446-8668 and use the group code SECO to place your reservation.
  The rate is $229 per night plus tax. This block will release July 25, 2014.
• The Courtyard By Marriott located at 150 Fairington Avenue, in Lafayette, IN. Call 765-449-4800. Use the group code SECO or Swinburne Conference when making your reservations. The group rate is $229 per night plus tax. This block will be released August 25, 2014.
• The Days Inn Hotel located at 151 Frontage Road in Lafayette, In. Call 765-446-8558 to secure your reservation. Please mention the Swinburne block to get the rate of $79.99 for Thursday September 25, and $139.99 + tax for Friday and Saturday nights. This rate will be released August 25, 2014.

Meals

Restaurants are available in the Purdue Memorial Union, and in West Lafayette and Lafayette.

• Continental Breakfast available in conference meeting room on Friday and Saturday
• Reception on Thursday evening included with conference registration
• Banquet on Friday evening requires advance registration and fee
• Lunch is on your own; see this map for nearby restaurant locations; there is also a food court on the lower level of the Purdue Memorial Union, which is adjacent to the Stewart Center

Parking

If you drive, please park in the Grant Street parking garage across the street from the Purdue Memorial Union. All other campus spaces are reserved Monday through Friday. Union Club guests can park in the Grant Street garage at no cost with a bar coded permit obtained from the Union Club reservation desk. Permits will be available at registration for those not staying at the Union Club Hotel.
