2020 Event Canceled

We are sorry to announce that Grandparents University, scheduled for June 25–26, has been canceled.

Guided by Tippecanoe County public health and safety officials, Purdue University has canceled all public events scheduled through June 30, 2020, due to ongoing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are disappointed we aren't able to share in the joy of the memories made during GPU; however, the health and safety of the Purdue community is our top priority.

Please contact Purdue Conferences at 765-496-6205 or conferences@purdue.edu with questions.

We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to GPU next year.

Grandparents University — June 24–25, 2021

Purdue Grandparents University Program Overview

June 25-26, 2020

Learn together. Laugh together. Leave a legacy.

Purdue Conferences and the Purdue Alumni Association welcomes you and your young Boilermakers ages 7–14 for an intergenerational learning experience at Grandparents University® (GPU).

During this immersive two-day experience, you will choose a major, attend classes, eat in a dining court and "graduate" with a certificate in your chosen field. Along with activities in the classroom, Purdue GPU gives you a chance to relive your college days, see what is new on campus, and create lifelong memories with your future Boilermakers.

To make sure you enjoy your time, we recommend no more than two children per adult.

(Grandparents University is a registered trademark of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association.)

Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus is pleased to welcome you and your grandchildren to GPU! West Lafayette is easy to reach. We are situated on I-65 between Chicago (two hours) and Indianapolis (one hour).

All activities will take place on the Purdue University campus. Any exceptions will be noted on the class schedule.
