Update from the Protect Purdue team

As has been the practice throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Purdue continues to monitor the science and local conditions and adjust its actions appropriately. Following the latest guidance of health care partner One to One Health, the CDC and American College Health Association, Purdue is modifying its routine surveillance testing regime. The University also is reiterating some important Protect Purdue protocols.

Purdue’s online engineering master’s programs again top latest U.S. News rankings

Purdue University’s online engineering remains among the nation’s elite in the newest U.S. News & World Report rankings of the Best Online Programs. The rankings, released Tuesday (Jan. 25), have Purdue in the No. 1 spot in four specific categories, and the University’s full array of online engineering programs is at No. 3 for the second year in a row.

Purdue Fort Wayne police officer honored with One Brick Higher Award

Officer BreAnna Wojnarowski of the Purdue Fort Wayne Police Department on Monday (Jan. 24) received the One Brick Higher Award for rescuing a child who had become trapped Jan. 18 in the icy waters of the St. Joseph River. Wojnarowski also received a Lifesaving Award from the Purdue University Police Department for her quick and heroic actions.

'This Is Purdue': Purdue-discovered drug bolsters fight against cancer

“This Is Purdue” podcast features Philip Low, Purdue’s Presidential Scholar for Drug Discovery and the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, who developed an FDA-approved drug called Cytalux, a fluorescent marker that allows cancer surgeons to quickly identify malignant cells and remove them during surgery.
