Board of Trustees statement regarding naming of Purdue University Research Center in Economics

The Purdue Board of Trustees has decided that the name of the University's economics center, named in April 2018 the John H. Schnatter Center for Economic Research at Purdue, should revert to the Purdue University Research Center in Economics. Purdue will offer to return the funds associated with the naming.

Trustees approve biennial budget requests

Purdue Trustees today (Aug. 3) approved the 2019-21 legislative request for its line-item appropriations. Purdue is requesting funding for six line items totaling $31.2 million for fiscal year 2019-20 and $32 million for fiscal year 2020-21, said Chris Ruhl, senior vice president for strategic initiatives.

Purdue trustees approve new named Education deanship, other faculty honors

The Purdue University Board of Trustees today (Aug. 3) approved a new named deanship in the College of Education, ratified the appointment of five named and distinguished faculty and issued a resolution of appreciation for friends of the University.

Trustees OK residence hall construction agreement; approve other campus projects

Purdue Trustees today (Aug. 3) approved the terms of a public-private partnership to construct two new residence halls on the University's West Lafayette campus and signed off on several other campus construction projects.

Buell establishes men's basketball head coaching endowment

Dick Buell has been a Purdue men's basketball fan since his days as an undergraduate student watching the Boilermakers play at Lambert Fieldhouse. Now, as the result of a $10 million gift -- the single-largest commitment to Purdue Athletics -- Buell has established the L. Dick Buell Endowed Head Men's Basketball Coaching position. The gift will ensure Purdue's ability to attract and retain the best head coach for its men's basketball program.
