The Indiana Torch Relay came through Purdue on Wednesday (Oct. 12) as part of the daylong route in Tippecanoe County. Highlights of the bicentennial relay across campus included astronaut David Wolf carrying the torch around the statue of Neil Armstrong, President Mitch Daniels carrying it past the grave of university benefactor and namesake John Purdue, and members of the student team that worked on the torch riding the Boilermaker Special in a victory lap around Zucrow Labs.
