New initiative aims to improve student success via big data analysis

As part of efforts to spur student success and improve academic achievement, Purdue is launching the Institutional Data Analytics Platform (IDAP). By analyzing data from a variety of sources, data scientists working on the IDAP initiative -- with help from faculty, academic advisors, other staff and students -- hope to better understand student behaviors and how they relate to academic success.

Purdue ag students deliver water to Flint, Michigan

Two College of Agriculture students proved even a small effort can go a long way. They took more than 250 cases of donated water to Flint, Michigan, where residents in the city of about 100,000 people were exposed to water contaminated with lead.
