Fisher Scientific named strategic supplier of critical scientific and laboratory supplies

After strategic analysis and campus-wide review of Purdue's satellite stores and scientific commodities, Purdue has entered into a contract with Fisher Scientific as the strategic partner in managing the University's scientific stores and providing scientific supplies to meet the University's research and teaching lab needs.

implantable devices

Implantable device research has potential to improve, save lives

A Purdue research team is making progress in developing wireless implantable medical devices for treatment of a variety of conditions using wireless networks of nanoelectronic sensors and actuators. Discovery: Innovation@Purdue Engineering online magazine shows how these implantable systems are being pursued for applications including monitoring and suppression of epileptic seizures; prosthesis control for persons injured in war; and treatment of depression and gastroparesis, a partial paralysis of the stomach.
