Registration deadlines for Spring Fling events

Registration for the talent show at Spring Fling, the annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, ends at 5 p.m. May 1. Registration for the vehicle show, fitness walk and volunteers ends at 5 p.m. May 8.

Max Fagin

Grad student strives to be the 'Neil Armstrong of Mars'

Max Fagin, a Purdue graduate student in aerospace engineering, wants to be the first human on Mars. Fagin narrowly missed the final cut to be a Mars One astronaut, but he's also worked or trained at Mars-minded SpaceX and NASA. He also is contributing inventions and research toward solutions for landing on Mars and living there. Find out more about Fagin in this video.
