4 receive One Brick Higher Award for life-saving response

President Mitch Daniels dropped by to surprise four College of Agriculture staff members and thank them for their heroic work this week in helping to save the life of a colleague who collapsed in her office and needed CPR.

After Cathy Alkire attended a high school career day, she left confused as to what she wanted to pursue in her future. But a conversation with her mom that followed the event helped direct her passion for gardening onto a promising career path. Alkire is a horticulture specialist in the Grounds Department.
