Safety Day designed to bring awareness to campus well-being

Several public safety response vehicles, safety information displays, a drunken-driving simulator, and information on Purdue's bicycle and laptop registration and Safe Walk programs will be part of the Safety and Emergency Preparedness Day on Wednesday (Oct. 1).

Activities, parade planned for Purdue Homecoming

Purdue will celebrate Homecoming 2014 today and Saturday (Sept. 26-27) with a variety of activities, including the Boilermaker Night Train Parade, a special Boiler Bridge Walk, the crowning of the Homecoming king and queen, and a family-friendly celebration featuring activity tents hosted by colleges, schools and units across campus. The activities lead up to the Purdue-Iowa football matchup at noon Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium.

Smithsonian 'Animal Connections' exhibition will be at Purdue today, Saturday

Animal Connections

A traveling Smithsonian exhibition developed to mark the 150th anniversary of the American Veterinary Medical Association will be on display today and Saturday (Sept. 26-27) on the south side of Memorial Mall. "Animal Connections: Our Journey Together," is housed in an expandable 18-wheel truck and introduces visitors to the complex bond between humans and animals.
