Ann Christine Catlin and her team create databases that are quietly revolutionizing the way researchers examine some of the world's most pressing topics, from cancer to pediatric HIV.
Catlin, a senior research scientist in ITaP, works with a wide range of partners nationally and internationally to create complex databases that allow scientists to explore, visualize and access the data that drives their projects.

The provost search committee is seeking feedback on the three finalists who were on campus this month. An online feedback tool -- as well as video of the candidates' presentations and their full curriculum vitae -- is available at www.purdue.edu/provost/search. The deadline to submit feedback is noon Wednesday (April 23).
Purdue will modify its overtime policy, effective Jan. 12, 2015. The changes bring Purdue in line with most public and private sector employers, including the state of Indiana and Purdue's peer universities, and act as a recurring cost-avoidance measure.
Human Resources is implementing two changes to the University's retirement provisions for faculty and staff.
A third public meeting is being held on Thursday (April 24) to address the future of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure on Purdue's West Lafayette campus.
InfoPath 200, a forms-building tool compatible with SharePoint, will be the focus of a two-day training session May 29-30 in Freehafer Hall, Room 248. The workshop will teach participants how to create various types of forms that can be emailed, used to collect data to store in SharePoint, or used to collect data to store in an SQL database.

Purdue NExT, an online interactive learning program, has launched its global website, offering 25 new classes open to individuals, businesses and industry.
Officials from NASA and the nonprofit entity that manages the International Space Station's U.S. National Laboratory will visit Purdue on April 30 to meet with faculty and students.
4-H is doing more to reach out to Indiana young people by reaching into inner cities, using new programs created by Purdue Extension.
