When Ben Dattilo finds a question fascinating, he'll stop at nothing until he finds an answer -- even if that answer has stumped scholars for dozens of years. Dattilo, assistant professor of geology at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, has been working for years on answering many questions, some of which he came up with as a child. The result has been a boon to Purdue and to his field.
Faculty and staff news
Purdue's College of Agriculture has received an anonymous estate gift valued at $65 million in today's dollars, the largest donation from individuals in the University's history.
Faculty and staff can meet a doctor, nurse practitioner or other health care professional from the Center for Healthy Living at sessions offered by Human Resources. The center is scheduled to open Feb. 27 in the Purdue West Shopping Center, 1400 W. State St.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate students they consider Patent Makers for the May "5 Students Who ..." website. Deadline for nominations is Friday (Feb. 22).
