In the Spotlight: Purdue sports
The Purdue football team has accepted an invitation to play in the Heart of Dallas Bowl at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas on Jan. 1. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT, and the game will be televised by ESPNU. Tickets for the Heart of Dallas Bowl are priced at $75 and can be ordered through the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office anytime online or by phone (494-3194 or 800-49-SPORT) or in person from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The No. 22 Boilermakers (23-10) won a five-set thriller over No. 12 Florida State, coming from behind in the final set to secure a spot in the Sweet 16 and a regional played at home in Mackey Arena. The win gave the Purdue volleyball team its sixth Sweet 16 berth in the last eight seasons.

Faculty and staff news
The final President's Forum of the calendar year will take place 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4) in Stewart Center, Rooms 302-306, and a live webcast will be available. The forum will open with a brief campus update by acting President Tim Sands, followed by a presentation/discussion titled "Purdue: Four Campuses, One University."
The Printing Services department within Physical Facilities will host United States Postal Service (USPS) mail seminars for the University's faculty and staff in December and January.
"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.
