In the Spotlight
The holiday season at Purdue will be ushered in at noon Monday (Dec. 3) when the 30-foot-tall Christmas tree arrives at Purdue Memorial Union's Great Hall. The holiday celebration also will include the 15th annual Holidays Around the World, creation of a 12-foot-tall gingerbread house, live midday music and Breakfast with Santa.
Faculty and staff news
The final President's Forum of the calendar year will take place 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4) in Stewart Center, Rooms 302-306, and a live webcast will be available. The forum will open with a brief campus update by acting President Tim Sands, followed by a presentation/discussion titled "Purdue: Four Campuses, One University."
To avoid unauthorized access to their computers when away from their workstations, ITaP reminds Purdue employees whose computers run Windows to use the keystroke combinations Ctrl, Alt, Delete or WIN+L.

Purdue's Energy Center will collaborate with electric utility Duke Energy Corp. to expand the Energy Academy at Purdue next summer, making it available to more students and teachers throughout Indiana.

Purdue will take on Colorado State in an NCAA first-round volleyball match at 4:30 p.m. Friday (Nov. 30) in Tallahassee, Fla.
Former Purdue men's basketball players Phil Dawkins and Dan Palombizio have been elected to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and will be enshrined in March as part of the 2013 induction class.
Purdue's all-time leading passer, Drew Brees, has been elected to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Brees, along with seven others, will be inducted Feb. 13 in Waco.
