In the Spotlight
Before the team takes the field and the referee calls for kickoff, Purdue staff members play their part in making football games successful. Each Friday before a home game, as Ross-Ade Stadium waits to come alive with cheering Boilermakers, a staff member who is integral to game day will be featured in Purdue Today's Game Starters series. This week's Game Starter is Derick Stoulil, director of fan experience for Purdue athletics.
* Boiler Bridge Walk and pep rally: The Boiler Bridge Walk will start at 5:40 p.m. today (Sept. 28) at the fountain on the West Lafayette side of the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge. The pep rally follows at 7 p.m. at the Class of 1980 courtyard between the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center.
* The Purdue football team takes on Marshall at 3:15 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 29). Ticket information is at www.purduesports.com.
* Before the game, Purdue Bands & Orchestras will present "Thrill on the Hill" at 1:15 p.m. at Slayter Center.
* Boilermaker Depot: One-stop online resource for all game-week activities and spirit initiatives.
* Purdue Transportation Service is the winner of this week's SpiritMakers community contest. Individuals and businesses are encouraged throughout the football season to create displays showing Purdue spirit. A photo of the Transportation Service display will be available on the Purdue home page banner and at Boilermaker Depot.
Faculty and staff news
Acting President Timothy Sands will host his second President's Forum from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 2) in Stewart Center, Fowler Hall.
Purdue employees may report unethical or illegal behavior through the University's enterprise-wide Purdue Hotline program.
The Purdue Employees Activity Program, a subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee, is sponsoring an Oct. 20 bus trip to the Mansfield Covered Bridge Festival.
WorkLife Programs' popular email-based program is continuing in October with a new monthly theme. Healthy Resolutions is a nine-month program geared toward helping participants change their health habits one month at a time.
