The recent incidents of provocation and hatred aimed at the African-American members of our Purdue community are deplorable. Members of the university administration, myself included, are deeply saddened by the events that took place this week on campus. By integrating a new course enhancement every year or so, biology instructor David Bos is using a cadre of educational technology tools to stimulate the level of student engagement he couldn’t achieve with just lecturing, while he is also helping students develop critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
C-SPAN founder and executive chairman Brian Lamb will interview Purdue president-elect Gov. Mitch Daniels about higher education issues and preparing for the role of university president at a public event Thursday (Sept. 27).
