Did You Know?: Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab
Although it is not an FBI crime lab, extension experts at Purdue's Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab do their own version of CSI -- crop scene investigation. With microscopes and scientific techniques from DNA analysis to isolations, they test plant samples for the presence of pathogens and render diagnoses.
