Game Starters: Lt. Kevin Booker, security operations

Before the team takes the field and the referee calls for kickoff, Purdue staff members play their part in making football games successful. Each Friday before a home game, as Ross-Ade Stadium waits to come alive with cheering Boilermakers, a staff member who is integral to game day will be featured in Purdue Today's Game Starters series. * The Boiler Bridge Walk will start at 5:30 p.m. today (Sept. 24) at the fountain on the West Lafayette side of the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge. Read more ...

* The Purdue football team takes on Toledo at noon Saturday (Sept. 25). Ticket information is at www.purduesports.com.

* Before the game, Purdue Bands & Orchestras will present the Jazz Tailgate at 9 a.m. and "Thrill on the Hill" at 10 a.m. at Slayter Center. After the game, Purdue's "All-American" Marching Band will march from the stadium to Purdue Mall for a concert.

President's Forum set for Tuesday

Faculty and staff are invited to attend a President's Forum from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 28) in the North Ballroom, Purdue Memorial Union. The topic is "Discovery at Purdue." President France A. The Confucius Institute at Purdue is offering its "Learn Chinese Language and Culture" course through Dec. 10. The course is open to students, staff and faculty who are interested in short and flexible learning sessions with an interest in Chinese language and culture.
