Arrive at Buffalo Trace Distillery for a private guided tour of their barrel aging warehouse and hand bottling hall, followed by a tasting

Light lunch in the Clubhouse at Buffalo Trace

Arrive at Woodford Reserve Distillery for a private guided tour that explains the history of their award-winning bourbon, followed by a tasting

7:30 p.m.

Dinner at The Kentucky Castle

Friday, April 6

Optional Excursion – A day at the Keeneland Race Track

Whether you want to place some bets, explore the grounds, or just sit back, relax, and watch the races, this opportunity won’t disappoint. Races (8–10 that day) start just after 1 p.m. and run every 30 minutes.

12:30 p.m.

Optional Excursion – A Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tour followed by a tour and tasting at Alltech Distillery

A peek into the Thoroughbred lifestyle as we go behind the scenes and explore these beautiful farms! If you’re lucky, you may even see spots where scenes from major motion pictures like Secretariat, Seabiscuit, and Dreamer were filmed. Alltech Distillery offers not only famous bourbons but also the beers of bourbon country.

Arrive in Bardstown

We’ll split into two tour groups. You will attend Bourbon University, where you’ll sample 14 Kentucky bourbons; take a break for some free time and lunch on your own; and attend a tour and tasting at Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center.

5:00 p.m.

Depart on My Old Kentucky Dinner Train
