Spring 2018 Degree Conferral and Diplomas

Awards for all undergraduate and professional degrees for Spring 2018 graduates will be conferred by Friday, May 18, 2018.

Awards for all graduate degrees for Spring 2018 graduates will be conferred by Friday, May 25, 2018.

Diplomas will be ordered and mailed within four weeks of degree posting to the student's identified diploma address.  If no diploma address is on file, the document will be sent to the permanent home address.

For international diplomas, additional delivery time may be required.

Diploma Pick-Up

Diplomas can be made available for pick-up at the Office of the Registrar by making a request before the end of the term that you are graduating. Requests should be sent by e-mail to commencement@purdue.edu with your name and PUID. Once your diploma is available for pick-up, you will receive e-mail notification.  To pick up your diploma, please bring a photo ID to the Office of the Registrar, Room 45, Hovde Hall, during regular business hours. Regular business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays. 

If you wish to have someone pick up your diploma for you, please send an e-mail from your purdue.edu e-mail account with the name of the person you are authorizing to pick up the diploma on your behalf. This individual must bring photo ID.

Diploma Information

If you plan to have your diploma framed, please note that framing processes that require heat can damage the diploma and should not be used.

Double majors are reminded that they receive only one degree -- and thus only one diploma.

The sizes of Purdue University's diplomas are as follows:

  • Undergraduate -- 9 5/8 inches by 7 5/8 inches
  • Graduate and Professional -- 11 inches by 8 1/2 inches
