Work with Us!

Student Life Marketing supports marketing and communication efforts for departments and units within the Division for Student Life. If you have questions about support or would like to partner in communication efforts and are outside of the Division for Student Life, please email StudentLifeMarketing@purdue.edu.

We are always willing to meet to discuss and ideate on your project needs. Not sure where to start or new to working with Student Life Marketing? Let's meet! Email Andi Hedrick to set up a meeting.

Ready to work with marketing? Consider the following tips:

  • Plan as much as possible: More time always makes for stronger solutions. We'll always do our best to work with your timelines but know we may be limited with time. It always helps to work with us on your marketing and communication planning and communication calendars to prepare for the busy months of July, August, November, December and April.
  • Identify your goals: We track every project in our system to make sure we are not missing anything. The more details you can give us, the better. Often what helps us most is to understand your goals.

How to submit your Project Request

The Student Life Marketing (SLM) team provides project management for marketing and communication projects for the Division of Student Life. This could include planning and strategy, production services and timing, cost estimates, vendor selection, distribution and other needs. All projects will need to be initiated and owned by a Student Life staff member within the division. Marketing and communication projects can be initiated two different ways; submitting a project request form or working with a SLM team member on marketing and communication planning.

SLM uses Wrike as our project management system to collaborate with you, intake your requests, track projects and share proofs. Please make sure you add @wrike.com to your safelist to avoid email updates going to spam.

If something is pressing and time-sensitive, please e-mail or call us first. Limited time often means we have fewer options.

Project Request Forms

SLM has a few different request forms to submit project request depending on the scope of your project.

Project Request Form
This is a request for marketing and communication assistance around a department or unit initiative, programming, storytelling or anything else you need to communicate to a target audience. Once you submit this form, a SLM team member will connect back with you. Depending on scope and messaging, we will work with you on drafting a strategy.

We know sometimes you just need a simple request. Use the below forms for quick updates or content submission to one of the communication channels we help manage.

Webpage Update Request Form
This is a request form for minor updates to department websites. This could include text updates, image replacement and/or break fixes.

Website Maintenance and Publishing Access Request
This is a request form to complete if you would like the ability to maintain and publish small changes to your website. Please note, supervisor and site owner approval and training is required. Marketing reserves the right to request or impose user limits to certain tasks that can break site functionality and will be addressed on an individual case by case basis.

Digital Sign Submission Form
This is a request to submit a slide to be displayed on digital signs throughout the residence halls and dining courts.

Digital Sign (Four Winds) Troubleshooting Request Form
Contact the Student Life Marketing team via this form if one of the FourWinds monitors is not working properly.

Photography Request Form
To request photography, please fill out the form below. If this photography request is part of a bigger project, please connect with Danielle Fawbush to get photography added to your active project request.

Social Media Submission Form
Please use this form to submit content you would like posted on the @purduestudents or @PurdueStepstoLeaps social media accounts. You will need a new form for each individual entry.
