Michelle Jansen

Assistant Director, Human Resources

As assistant director of human resources for Student Life, Michelle Jansen provides strategic human resources leadership by serving as an HR business partner. She works with senior staff to address a variety of workplace issues in a strategic manner that provides tangible value and identifies new opportunities.

Michelle ensures the team provides responsive human resources services in the areas of employee relations, HR policy interpretation, performance management, compensation, classification, leadership and organizational development, and recruitment.

Jansen has been part of the human resources team since 2006. She previously served as an employee relations specialist and as Concierge Program director in Purdue's College of Engineering.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue. Prior to joining the staff at the University, she spent 10 years in management and human resources positions for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
