Pamela DexterPamela Dexter

Chief Development Officer

As the Chief Development Officer for Student Life at Purdue University, Pamela Dexter oversees a development team responsible for fundraising and donor relations for the divisions of Student Life and Teaching & Learning. In this role, she works to raise the gift dollars needed to support a broad range of innovative and impactful programs and special initiatives taking place within the departments the Student Life Development Office serves. Private giving supports Purdue University in its mission to deliver higher education at the highest proven value. The generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends grants opportunities and transforms lives. Pam enjoys working with the many incredible alumni and friends that offer their time, talent and treasure to positively impact our Boilermaker students.

Pam has more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles involving fundraising, relationship building, marketing and strategic planning. Pam earned bachelor degrees in art education and fine arts from Purdue. She has worked at the University since 2006, serving in roles with the College of Engineering and College of Health and Human Sciences. She has additionally spent time teaching and working in leadership positions for non-profit organizations in the Greater Lafayette area.

Pam is very loyal to her Purdue roots and proud to be a Boilermaker. Pam and her husband established the Dennis R. Foster Scholarship in Nursing in honor of her father in 2013. She is thrilled to be in a position where she can help others generously contribute to ensure students have the same impactful and powerful experiences she has had as a Boilermaker.
